Afternoon tea is the best way to celebrate, relax, enjoy others’ company, and best of all sip delicious tea and treats. To make your tea time, the perfect tea, we have a couple of helpful tips to create the essential vibes of afternoon tea.
Colors
Everyone will have their own preference on colors, but we prefer a pastel palette. A combination of yellows, purples, greens, blues, and pinks mixed together to create a magical table set. You can have pops of color with table runners, napkins, vases, and our favorite, finding colorful and unique tea cups!
Beverages
Tea is a given! We prefer a mix of herbal teas to provide a fun color palette. You can also go a more traditional route with Black Teas paired with cream and sugar. The best part of afternoon tea though is the celebratory glass of prossecco or champagne. Our favorite type, Tost, provides a non-alcoholic Rosé to “cheers” your tea time with!
Flowers
Flowers are essential! Luckily, we created the perfect arrangement for the occasion, our Tea bouquet! A mixture of bold parrot tulips, peach garden roses, and purple scabiosa to provide the pastel mix of your dreams! Another fun way to jazz up your tablescape is to find little vases or vessels that can be used as bud vases. Feature your favorite colors and flowers!
Treats
Everything’s better with sweets! Traditionally, tea time will be served with finger sandwiches and scones. It is up to your personal preference, as always, but we partnered with Aya Pastry and The Publican for biscotti and macaroons. Once you have your treats of choice, we like placing them on tiered platters, cake platters, baskets, or other unique displays with varying height and colors.
Fun
Just in case the treats, tea, company, and Rosé are not enough for a good time, we suggest a fun activity! There are card games, word games, and more! We recommend our tea leaf reading card set, everything you need to predict your future with tea leaves!
